Order Processing and Timelines

To ensure the health and safe transport of live wholesale inventory, we adhere to a strict fulfillment schedule:

• Handling Time: 1 to 4 business days, Monday to Friday.
• Transit Time: 2 to 7 business days, Monday to Friday.
• Order Cut-off: 3:00 PM EST. Orders placed after 3:00 PM on Friday or during the weekend begin processing the following Monday.
• Cancellation Window: Customers have a strict 24-hour window from the time of order to request a cancellation. Transaction fees apply.

Universal Financial Requirements & Local Delivery

We specialize in professional fulfillment and installation within a 150km radius of our Richmond Hill headquarters.

• Universal Minimum Order Value: A strict minimum order of $200.00 (pre-tax and pre-shipping) applies to all orders, including Local Pick-Up and Professional Delivery.
• ☀️ SUMMER SALE: Free Standard Delivery (Approved Service Area): For a limited time, we are offering Free Standard Delivery to all approved postal codes within our entire service area!
• Extended Zone Handling (100km – 150km): While standard delivery is free during our summer promotion, please note that deliveries to our extended boundaries (over 100km away) may be subject to an additional handling fee depending on the specific size and logistics of your order. Note: Once the summer sale concludes, all locations beyond 100km will revert to our standard extended-zone flat-rate delivery fees.
• Orders Outside Approved Postal Codes (Ontario-Wide Pickup): Our online checkout is available to customers anywhere in the province of Ontario, Canada. If your postal code does not fall within our approved standard delivery network, your online checkout options will automatically adjust to Local Pickup Only at our Richmond Hill facility.

Standard Delivery Area (150km Radius)

At House of Cedar, we run a highly optimized flatbed delivery fleet to ensure fast, reliable, and cost-effective service. Our standard delivery zone covers an approximate 150km radius around our Richmond Hill location, fully servicing the Greater Toronto Area, Niagara, Kitchener/Waterloo, Guelph, Stratford, Woodstock, Peterborough, and surrounding communities.

Why might my address be outside the delivery zone?

Our delivery boundaries are strictly enforced by the first three characters of your postal code (known as your FSA). Because rural Canadian postal codes often cover massive geographic areas, we intentionally exclude certain rural boundary codes that may technically touch our 150km radius but stretch hours beyond it (e.g., deep Muskoka or Far Eastern Ontario). Limiting these extreme distances allows us to protect our drivers and keep delivery costs low for the majority of our customers.

Logistics, Site Liability & Damage Disclaimer

As a wholesale supplier, our deliveries involve heavy vehicles that may exceed 20,000 lbs.

• Curbside Delivery: All deliveries are strictly curbside or to a primary driveway. Drivers will not move equipment onto soft ground or lawns unless safe access is verified.
• Property Damage: House of Cedar and its partners are not liable for property damage (e.g., driveway cracks or lawn ruts) caused by the weight of delivery vehicles.
• Underground Infrastructure: The customer assumes all liability for damage to underground pipes, septic systems, or shallow utilities at the delivery site.

Site Readiness & Failed Delivery Fees

• Dry Run Fee: If a delivery cannot be completed due to site obstructions, a fee equal to 100% of the delivery charge plus a 10% restocking fee will be applied.
• Wait Time Fee: Drivers are allocated 20 minutes for offloading. Any delays beyond this will be billed at $125.00 per hour, charged in minimum 30-minute increments.

Construction Act & Lien Rights

Under the Ontario Construction Act, the delivery of materials to a site constitutes the commencement of the 60-day lien preservation period. House of Cedar reserves all rights to enforce liens for unpaid materials or services delivered to a project site.

Proof of Delivery (POD) & Deemed Acceptance

• Photo Protocol: Proof of Delivery (POD) consists of a high-resolution timestamped photo at the delivery site.
• Deemed Acceptance: In the absence of a signature, delivery is deemed accepted “as is” upon the capturing of the POD photo.

Force Majeure Clause

House of Cedar is not liable for delays resulting from causes beyond its control, including agricultural quarantines, pest outbreaks, or extreme supply chain disruptions.

Free Local Pick-Up

• Location: 53-D Observatory Ln, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 8K9.
• Universal Minimum: The $200.00 minimum order requirement applies to all online orders, including pick-up orders.
• Warranty Limit: Items picked up locally include a limited 14-day health warranty only, starting from the day of purchase. Customer must provide all documentation of proper handling and care for validity.
