Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) Compliance
House of Cedar is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in our digital communications. We do not send unsolicited commercial electronic messages (CEMs). By providing your email address or phone number, you agree to receive communications from House of Cedar in accordance with this policy. 

Express vs. Implied Consent 

● Express Consent: When you voluntarily check the “Sign me up for updates” box during checkout or via our website forms, you are providing express consent. Express consent does not expire and remains valid until you choose to unsubscribe. 

● Implied Consent (Existing Business Relationship): Under CASL, making a purchase or entering into a contract for delivery or installation provides implied consent for a period of 2 years from the date of the last transaction. 

● Implied Consent (Inquiry/Quote): If you request a quote or submit a general inquiry, implied consent is limited to a period of 6 months from the date of the request. 

Mandatory Identification 

In compliance with CASL, all commercial electronic messages sent by House of Cedar will clearly include: 

● The sender’s name: House of Cedar. 

● Physical Mailing Address: 53-D Observatory Ln, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 8K9.
● Direct Contact Information: 647-300-5786 or info@houseofcedar.ca.
● A clear, prominent, and “readily performed” unsubscribe mechanism. 

Documentation of Consent & Record Keeping
House of Cedar maintains a secure digital log of all express consents. This log includes the date, time, source (e.g., website form), and IP address of the opt-in. We retain these records for a minimum of 3 years following the end of the business relationship to serve as the official record of compliance. 

Opt-Out Rights
You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our emails. All unsubscribe requests are processed automatically and without delay; we guarantee completion within 10 business days.
